Where to Use Tile and Stone

Tile and stone are commonly used in bathrooms and kitchens but there’s no reason why you can’t use them in every room in the house and in select areas outside of the house too.

• Flooring: natural stone pavers can be used to create a walkway or used in a patio or around a swimming pool. With many colors and textures to choose from, outdoor stone flooring can generate a distinct look. Stone and tile can be used in the entryway of a home. Most commonly, tile flooring is used in bathrooms and kitchens because the tiles are durable and easy to care for.
• Countertops: A marble or quartz kitchen countertop is the ultimate in kitchen design. Tile countertops are more affordable and represent a great way to upgrade a kitchen. Bathroom vanities can be made of stone or tile and these can match the tiles used in a shower stall.
• Walls, Backsplashes & Detailing: Stone and tile can be used to make a wall (in a shower stall), used for a backsplash (behind a sink), or used to highlight areas of the home (around a fireplace). Tile and stone can be used almost anywhere in the home where you have vertical or horizontal space.
